Thematic tournaments

Thematic tournaments are open for members of any class. Here, even weak players can play with the strongest masters. And who knows - maybe they can even beat them in their favourite opening…?

Every game of these tournaments is played with a certain opening variant. You will find the board set up for this variant at the start of the game.

Thematic tournaments are available in two flavours: with and without chess engines. Please select carefully, what type of tournament you want to play. You must never use your chess engine in a running game of the Human Chess League.

Chess engines are allowed and even recommended.
These tournaments are played under the rules of the Advanced Chess League.
